Outdoor Environmental Education program goals are:
- To enable students to understand and experience the relationship between themselves and the natural environment, and their roles as stewards of the earth
- To strengthen social relationships between the students and their peers and teachers
- To give students a sense of independence and self-identity
- To give students a chance to succeed in a noncompetitive environment
- To foster an attitude of inquiry in the student
- To encourage openness and active participation in outdoor activities
- To promote the values of faith, caring, honesty, respect and responsibility
In addition, the Youth Leadership Program strives to:
- Help students understand how their actions can affect their communities
- Compel students to identify ways they can have a positive impact
- Build trust, mutual respect and commitment
- Practice good decision making skills
